Growth of digital commerce  in the MENA region, specifically in fintech gave me the opportunity to work with a South African investor/managing partner to build a cloud based platform designed to manage the process of obtaining auto finance, car insurance and service contracts.   Partnering with OLX owned Dubizzle.com, we built and operated a 15 seat contact center to support car buyers looking for financing and insurance options. With investment from one of Pakistan’s top 3 travel companies, I was given the objective to set up and operate an inbound tourism company to handle tourists visiting the UAE. My responsibilities included obtaining local sponsorship and business licensing, sourcing and setting up  operations for online UAE tourist visa processing, building relationships with hotels, local tourist attractions and tour operators to create tour packages.  With a team of 5, managed total purchase and logistics for up to 400 tourists at a time.  Read more

Working for a newly established ebusiness unit within the advertising agency arm of a large Emirati conglomerate, I got the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading automotive, electronics, real estate brands.  I built a portfolio of over $1 Million a year in digital projects including  websites for Honda and  Plug Ins Electronix, social media management for Toys “R” Us Middle East,  mobile apps, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing for Audissey and digital advertising campaigns for IKEA UAE. Where it all began. My first job at a startup. An ex-banker foresees content-driven digital marketing at the height of the dot com boom in North America. Hired to do general office support, I started supporting the management team in creating sales decks and business plans, moving on to digital content creation and editing for FedEx’s Small Business Center and Kraft Recipe’s email newsletter.  This is where I learn the foundations of Big Data, and its value for an organization – a core belief I still hold today.  Read more
